Last February 9, 2008, the first Otaku Fest was held in UP Cebu. The events were cosplay, dota tourneys, original character design, anime film showing, and j-rock/j-pop cover bands. All I can remember about the event was that it was full of fun. I can’t believe I’m seeing a lot of cosplayers, costrippers, and otakus in Cebu. The cosplay, headed by me, was really the highlight of the event. It was really a tough job but still I enjoyed it eventhough I was having difficulties and mistakes.  Being one of the organizers of the first ever Otaku Fest makes me feel proud and it proved that truly I am an Otaku. We are very sorry for some inconveniences but we assure you that we will improve.

Currently we are planning for the next Otaku Fest which will be labeled Otaku Fest 2.0 to be held on December. To all Otakus, be prepared! ‘Till the next Otaku Fest! ~_^
